Coach Richard Englebretson

Head Coach Terry Laube attended Owen-Withee H.S. as a three sport athlete. In High School he played 4 years of Football and was a captain one year.
Terry Laube attended UW-Superior where he received a B.S. Degree in Education, and a minor in coaching and athletic training. While at college he played 4 years of football, where he was Captain for 3 years and was awarded Most Valuable Special Team Player, Most Valuable Player (2 years), Little All-American, Milwaukee Journal Defensive Player of the year, and UW-Superior Hall of Fame.

Coach Laube started his coaching career as an assistant coach in 1987 & 1988. Then went on to become Head Coach in 1989 and is still going strong today. In that time we have achieved 6 Cloverbelt Conference Championships, 2 State Championships and 5 Level IV Appearances.

"What I love about coaching is having the opportunity to influence young men at a developmental age. I think the game of football allows you to teach the many valuable lessons of life; respect, discipline, responsibility, accountability, work ethic, and pride. Those lessons will forever be the foundation of a successful individual".
"My Philosophy is: A young man will be given the opportunity to be a part of a football family. He will learn the life long lessons of commitment, dedication, responsibility, accountability, and respect. He will be taught the basic fundamental skills and techniques and will be prepared and motivated, so he is in a position to be successful.

Family: Wife: Cathy, Sons: Jason and Ryan, Daughter: Lindsey. Jason played tight-end and defensive end at Owen-Withee 1996-1999: 3 Cloverbelt conference championships, and state championship team in 1999. Jason went on to play for UW-River Falls. Ryan played Quarterback and defensive back at Owen-Withee 1998-2001; 4 Cloverbelt conference championship teams and 1999 state championship team. Ryan went on to play at Hamline University 2002-2004. Lindsey is currently attending UW-Stevens Point.

Coach Jeff Greschner

Coach Jeff Greschner graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1971. Coach Greschner was a three sport athlete and football team captain while attending Owen-Withee High School. Jeff went on to attend UW River Falls for one year and then began farming. Coach Greschner began his coaching career at O-W in 1994 as an offensive line coach and a J.r High coach. He has continued to move up the coaching ranks and now is The Blackhawk Varsity Offensive and Defensive Lines Coach with emphasis on the Offensive Guard and Interior Defense.

Coach Greschner ditinguishes himself with his outstanding rapport with his players and his ability to produce a line that consistently blocks for 4000 yards rushing per season. he constantly is developing young men into All Conference Performers.

Coach Greschner and his wife Janet have raised three children, Candy, Darwin, and Travis who all attended OWHS and has very succesful High School Careers. Darwin, Travis and Candy had outstanding work ethics and became All Conference performers.

"I love the game of football and the young men who play it. Teaching them the game of football and how many of the same principles they learn in football- Pride, Committment, Accountability, Hard Work. Success will carry over into everyday life are the things I want them to take with them."

Coach Harry "Mitch" Mitchell attended Owen-Withee High School, graduating in 1974. He played 3 years of football & basketball. He then went on to Chippewa Valley Technical College graduating in 1978 with a degree in Fluid Power Technology. He is currently employed at WE Energies where he has worked for the past 30 years. His current position is Lead Employee of Gas Operations.

Coach Mitch started coaching in 1992 to make an impact on kids especially the ones from single family homes. He also wants to be a positive role model to all children.

"My Philosophy in life is to be the best at whatever you do! Play as hard as you practice so always practice hard."

Individual Coaching Skills: Assistant Coach, Special Teams Coach, Offensive Ends and Defensive Ends Coach.

FAMILY: Married to Gloria for 30 years. Gloria is employed at Grassland Butter as an accountant. Son Jason, 35, attended and graduated from Owen-Withee. He played on OW's first ever State High School Championship team. Jason attended the University of North Dakota with a full scholarship for football. He is married to Rhonda and has 1 son Jack and 3 Stepchildren: He is a partner in Richards Insurance Agency in Beaver Dam, WI. Daughter Jalayne, 30, also attended Owen-Withee She attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and earned an associate degree in Administrative Assistant. She is married to Mark Goessl and has 2 daughters EmmaLee and Molly. Jalayne is a stay-at-home mom and does some day care. She lives in Curtiss, WI. Daughter Morgan, 28, attended Owen-Withee High School. She went on to UW-Stout in Menominee, WI where she earned a batchelors degree in Psychology and a masters degree in School Counseling. She played 1 year of basketball for the Stout Blue Devils. Her significant other is Geoff Mueller will be marraied in Aug of 2009. She has 1 daughter, Madilyn. She is employed at Owen-Withee High School as a 7-12 Guidence Counselor.

Coach Ryan Graduated from Owen-Withee H.S in 2002, played 3 sports (football, basketball, and baseball), in football was part of 4 Conference Championships and 1 State Championship, was captain and All-Conference (Quarterback) as a senior.

He went on and received B.A. Degree from Hamline University in 2006 and played football for 4 years, started as a wide receiver for 2 years and as a defensive back for 2 years, also was the punter for all 4 years.

Coach Ryan is currently employed at Hanson Masonry & Concrete as a Project Manager.

He started coaching in 2006 when he want to be apart of a program that influenced my life so much when I was in High School and have the opportunity to influence the lives of the young men that play today. He is currently the quarterbacks and defensive backs coach.

Coach Hurlebaus graduated from Waunakee High School in 1982. In high school he contributed to the football team by being a Trainers Assistant. He was on the wresling scaude for 2 years.

In persuit of knowledge in computerized mfg he attended UW Whitewater, Pewaukee Technical College, UM Engineering and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Coach Hurlebaus is currently the plant manager at Westwood Kitchens, Inc.

Family: Married to Sheila for 21 years. Sheila is employed at Weather Shield Manufacturing as a Tax Accountant. Son Wilmar graduated from Owen - Withee in 2008. Where he played 6 years of Football, 5 years of Basketball, 4 years of Baseball and 2 years of power lifting. Wilmar is currently played football for Vermillion Community College. Edmund is a Junior and is playing Football and Golf for Owen - Withee. Jennifer is a softmore and into photography graphical design. Jessica is a 8th grader. Jessica loves volleyball and playing trumpet.

Coach Hurlebaus is heavly involved in taping of the games, creating the web site and creating any technology the coach staff requires. His goal is to become the opposing offensive cordinetor for the practices.
